Basic[]
Chronexia is the persona inside Misty Trachtenberg that is the source of her goddess powers to manipulate time. However, Chronexia and Misty are very different people. She is dormant almost all of Misty's life and only really begins to manifest when the first seal is unlocked.
Appearance[]
Chronexia is a mirror image of her host, the only major difference being her eyes. Instead of normal human eyes Chronexia appears to have clockwork, though they are the same emerald green. She is also lacking Misty's light dusting of freckles. Her hair is worn down, while Misty always wears pigtails.
Chronexia shares Misty's body, but can be seen as a semi-transparent ghost whenever a seal is unlocked. The more seals that Misty unlocks, the more tangible she becomes.
Personality[]
Chronexia is irritable and somewhat cold towards others. She constantly tells Misty to try and avoid relationships with humans to avoid later heartache, so an argument could be made for Chronexia caring about others in her own way. She holds deep respect towards Gods and Goddesses but little regard for human life.
It could be argued that being trapped completely alone inside of Misty made her this aloof with the people of the world. Considering how much she knows about the girl, she most likely was completely self aware throughout Misty's life and was simply lying dormant, unable to be heard below the surface.
Abilities[]
Control Over Time
Chronexia grants Misty the power to slow down, speed up, and all in all, manipulate time. However the ability to manipulate time doesn't mean she can save lives. If someone dies, rewinding and saving them won't change anything, they will still perish in some other way. This time control can be applied to objects, and used to place something or someone in a pocket dimension outside of time.
Body 'Snatching'
After Misty unlocks enough Seals, Chronexia gains the ability to speak through Misty and even take control of her body temporarily. However, Misty is still aware of all of Chronexia's actions and will actively protest.
Relationships[]
Chronexia's relationship with Misty is a bit... Complicated. It could be said that she's trying to protect Misty, but Misty herself definitely doesn't see it that way. Chronexia can see and plan for the future, so she tries to get Misty to sever her ties with humans because she knows that it'll only hurt Misty in the long run. The two of them argue often, and do not share the same goals when it comes to becoming a fully fledged Goddess.
She seems to strongly dislike Tom simply because of his relationship with Misty and vice versa. In her eyes, he's the biggest obstacle in the way of preparing Misty for the hard truth that all her mortal friends will die off long before she does. She makes numerous attempts to sabotage their relationship through the use of body snatching.
Trivia[]
- Despite being a main character, she is almost never seen without Misty or acknowledged outside of the trials of the seals.
- Mathieu Brunelle's Youtube account (Misty/Chronexia) is an homage to Misty and Chronexia's status of sharing a host.
- Chronexia has the ability to tell how much magical energy Misty has left and constantly warns her when she overdoes it.
- Chronexia has shown a blatant disregard for the life of others despite her foresight. It's unknown if this is due to the "they'll just die another way" clause, or because she really is that cold.
